Review: Sonic Unleashed (Wii)

sonic-unleashed-wiiOverview:

System: Wii (also on: PS3, 360)
Developer: Sonic Team
Publisher: Sega
Genre: Platforming / Beat ’em up

Remember back in gaming’s golden age when Sonic was still relevant to gaming? Don’t you wish that Sega would just put Sonic back the way he’s supposed to be without all the fancy 3D and annoying extra characters? Well if so, this game is only half for you. Half? Yeah, half of the game is a great callback to the classic Sonic games of the past and half is an atrociously slow, unbearably bad beat ’em up. I’ll explain in the review.

Review: Pirates: The Key of Dreams (WiiWare)

pirates-the-key-of-dreamsOverview:

Publisher: Oxygen Games
Players: 1-4
Genre: Action
Cost: 1000 Points

A 10 dollar game about pirates? Hell yeah, sign me up! Along with zombies, ninjas and Hulk Hogan, Pirates are one of the many things God put on Earth to make life for us mere laymen more worth living. Unfortunately this may not be the game you want it to be. When I first heard of it I didn’t think there was any way it could be anything other than awesome. Well here we are, ten bucks later, and I can readily admit that I was horribly wrong.

Onechanbara Trailer

Alright, if you know me at all, even a little, you know I love zombies, Nintendo and boobs. And if you’re at all like me then you need to watch this trailer for Onechanbara: Bikini Zombie Slayers, which may very well turn out to be the single most awesome game ever. Extremely hot asian babes slashing down the walking dead with samurai swords? Hell yeah.

I know the game is going to suck, but who cares? It’s a game about hot women slaughtering zombies! Anyway, it’s a Wii exclusive title slated for release on the 1oth of February and you can bet your undead bikini covered ass we’re going to have a review shortly after. But until then, keep reading Everyview!

Review: Animal Crossing: City Folk (Wii)

Overview:

System: Wii
Developer: Nintendo
Publisher: Nintendo
Genre: Life Simulation / heroin

animal-crossing-wii

Ahh, Animal Crossing. Ask just about anyone who has set foot into the virtual world full of furry citizens and they’ll most likely be able to sum their experiences up in one word: addiction. I’m not sure what it is, but doing odd jobs for Joey the Duck to get goodies to sell to pay off your mortgage to Tom Nook for your overpriced piece of crap house is simply addicting. Well it was the first time around way back on the GameCube, anyway. The DS version was a little less heavy hitting, and now here we are with the Wii. Does Animal Crossing: City Folk stick the heroin filled needle of city life into your gamer vein, or is it time to find a new drug? I mean game.

Club Nintendo is Finally in America!!!

Club Nintendo is, for those who don’t know, a virtual “club” where owners of Nintendo consoles and games can register the serial numbers on each and earn online “coins” which can be used to buy real products. The most prestigious item you can get on Club Nintendo at the current point in time is the Game & Watch Collection for the Nintendo DS, which is going for 800 coins.

Speaking of coins, Wii disc games are worth 50, DS are worth 30, and Virtual Console are worth 10. I have no idea if old GameCube and GBA games are worth anything, as it’s completely impossible to log onto the website due to high traffic. Which is a pain in the ass.

I’ll bring you more on Club Nintendo as soon as I’m actually able to sign into it. Until then, keep reading Everyview and check out the Club Nintendo website for yourself right here.
