Soul Calibur 2’s special fighter Necrid was designed by Spawn creator Todd McFarlane and his moves were all stolen from other fighters. Needless to say, this threw the balance off horribly and pissed the hardcore Soul Calibur veterans off to no end since any n00b could just pick him and have all of the best moves in one package. And guess who I always played as. Damn straight, Necrid all the way. I used to love hearing my friends whine when I kicked their ass blindfolded with this… thing.
Anyway, that has nothing to do with this article. above is a collectible McFarlane Toys Necrid figure I picked up near the launch of Soul Calibur II for $7.99. It may not be in the best condition, but I’ve seen the same in worse condition going for about $60 at Cash n’ Pawn. Turn to eBay, however, and you’ll see these are worth relatively little for now. But just you wait! It’ll be worth some cash before I die, I’ll bet.
