[Drink Review] Sunkist Solar Fusion

Here’s a portion of a Caffeine Critic review:

Energy sodas aren’t exactly the fastest growing phenomenon in the drink industry, but that doesn’t keep the big beverage companies, who deem them as more accessible than regular energy drinks, from trying them out. Coke has Vault, Pepsi has Pepsi Max, and now Dr. Pepper/Seven-Up offer the latest take on the energy soda in the form of Sunkist Solar Fusion.

Solar Fusion is a Tropical Mandarin flavored soda with added caffeine and B vitamins. Sunkist is most well-known for their orange soda, which is absolutely delicious. However, not every Sunkist drink is worth drinking. Their Peach, Grape and Diet Lemonade flavors are all pretty awful, but they’ve also got Cherry Limeade, Pineapple and Strawberry which are pretty solid drink. How does Solar Fusion stack up to the rest of the Sunkist family?

[Drink Review] Bossa Nova: Mangosteen with Passion Fruit

This is the first review in a series that will cover the line of super fruit juices from Bossa Nova. They offer a wide range of drinks, ranging from this Mangosteen and Passion Fruit flavor to Acai and Blueberry (which is, in case you didn’t know, one of the greatest flavor combinations on earth) and many in between.

Now, I’ve never had mangosteen but I am willing to try new things, especially when they are as loaded with antioxidants as this is. I’ve been trying all sorts of antioxidizing juices and overall “healthy” drinks lately for some reason (yes, I drink more than just soda and energy drinks), so I’ve got a pretty good idea of how this stacks up to some other products out there. Let’s see how it does!

[Drink Review] Bolthouse Farms Mango Lemonade

Let me tell you how I came across this stuff.

I work in a grocery store, and I have the pleasure of meeting tons and tons of new and unique people all the time. Some are old, some are young. Some smile, some frown. Some are in shape and others ride scooters through the store, loading up on Diet Coke, frozen pizzas and Banquet Meals. However, the other day I met a lady that was an entirely unique individual.

It was a small order on a hot day, the heat index was about 104 degrees, and where I work we have to wear long black pants as part of our dress code, despite the fact that, as a bagger, I spend a few hours out of every shift pushing carts on a hot black top. Needless to say, I was sweaty. When this particular customer walked through my line, she had a bottle of Bolthouse Farms Mango Lemonade. I looked at it, coveting it with intense jealousy. I wanted this.

I told her how delicious it looked, how it looked like it would hit the spot, how intense my cart shifts were, and asked her how much it was. My plan was just to buy some on my break, but this customer had a different idea in mind. After hearing my gushing over her lemonade, she asked me a question. “What happened in 1066?” The answer to that question would be the only thing that stood between me and 32 oz of delicious Mango Lemonade.

[Drink Review] Sidral Mundet Apple Soda

This is the first experience I’ve ever had with an authentic Mexican soda. In fact, the only foreign soft drinks I’ve ever had are those Asian beverages with the glass ball in the plastic cap (If you know what I’m talking about, congratulations on being awesome). Anyway, when someone representing Sidral Mundet, an authentic apple-flavored Mexican soft drink, told me the company needed American feedback on the product because the company is wanting to expand their demographic into the States, I was pleased to be of service.

I just recently got my bottles of Sidral Mundet, alongside a nifty little reusable shopping bag that was thrown in (thanks guys!). The sent two flavors, a cider-colored one and a light green one. Since the darker amber cider-like liquid didn’t come labeled with a subtitle, I figured it would be best to start with it, and I’ll get around to the Manzana Verde one soon after.

Bottoms up.

[Drink Review] Anti-Hangover: Resurrection

What greater American past time is there than consuming large quantities of alcohol in a short time frame? It’s why college was invented, after all. For almost 4 years now (save the old man jokes) I have been able to legally consume these adult beverages to my heart’s/liver’s content, and at the same time shave years off my life expectancy. But, there is one pesky little problem when it comes to drinking. That damn next day hangover. They even made an extremely popular movie about it! I think it was called The Last Mimzy.

Well, the folks over at Anti-Hangover decided they were tired of waking up with ridiculous cotton mouth and a pounding headache, and they set out to solve the world’s hangover problems, and they released this drink called Resurrection. Continue reading

[Drink Review] Sunny D Smoothies: Orange Whirl

sunny d orange whirl smoothiesOverview:

I’m not gonna lie. I don’t like Sunny D. I do, however, love smoothies. Creamy, fruity, and delicious. And since these are Sunny D brand, they even hold the kick-ass power of the Sun. The freaking Sun! On top of that, Sunny D Smoothies contain 30% RDI (recommended daily intake) Calcium, and 25% Vitamin D and C.

But who cares about all that nonsense? I sure don’t. What does it taste like? Continue reading

[Drink Review] Private Selection Sparkling Lemon Soda

pslemonsparklingsodaOverview:

Those of you who know me exclusively through my reviews here on Everyview may not be able to tell, but I am very elegant. I have very high class tastes that can be satisfied only by the finest tobaccos and rarest wines. The tobacco must be smoked out of nothing less than pipes carved from ostrich bones and the wine is only to be sampled from diamond cups crafted by the most skilled jewelers in the world.

Enter Private Selection Sparkling Soda. It’s expensive and comes in a weird-looking glass bottle, but does it tickle my prestige? Continue reading
