[Energy Review] Spot On Energy Patch

Overview:

spot on energy patchesYou’ve seen the energy drinks, shots, and candies that kick your adrenaline into high gear and make even the most arduous of tasks a breeze, but surely there’s a quicker way of getting all that caffeine into your blood stream than drinking or eating it, right?

Enter Spot On Energy Patches, a patch that is applied directly onto your skin which makes it the quickest and most efficient way of getting the energy blend into your body next to filling a syringe with Monster and shooting it right into your veins. Which is a horrible idea anyway. Continue reading

Getting Ready for Lollapalooza! [Which Bands Do You Want Reviewed?]

lollapaloozaI’m sure a lot of my more avid Everyview readers (both of you) have noticed that I have reviewed a couple of live shows since I came to the site (Wilco and Explosions in the Sky).

Well get ready for more.

I’m going to be attending Lollapalooza’s Saturday festivities in Chicago on August 8th, and I plan on doing a MAJOR write up on the festival experience as a whole, while also breaking down the individual artists sets. There is one band I will be seeing no matter what (TOOL), but seeing how this is a festival, and choices must be made, I’d like to ask you guys to help me out with some tough decisions.

Arctic Monkeys or Coheed and Cambria?

TV on the Radio or Rise Against?

Ben Harper and the Relentless 7 or Animal Collective?

As well, if there is anyone else on that lineup you would like to see a review of, let me know. I’ll do my best to oblige, unless of course you have horrible taste, I change my mind at the last minute, or I end up a bit too intoxicated to freely roam the streets of Chicago.

[Book Review] “Pain and Passion: The History of Stampede Wrestling” by Heath McCoy

painandpassionOverview:

Most of you avid Everyview readers have probably already realized that I’m still a fan of professional wrestling. I’m 24 years old, and am proud to say that I enjoy Pro Wrestling, and DO NOT live in my parent’s basement and/or any kind of Trailer Park. I am a college educated, contributing (however small said ‘contributions’ may be) member of society. Continue reading

[Contest] Butterfinger Buzz!

Butterfing BuzzHere it is, the contest I’ve been promising for the past three weeks! The prize for this contest is a rare caffeinated limited edition Butterfinger, dubbed the Butterfinger Buzz. This baby was set to end its romp through the candy world a few months ago, but I just so happen to have my hands on seven of these bad boys and I’m giving them away to whoever wants them.

If you’ve never heard of Butterfinger Buzz bars before, I suggest checking out our review. To go ahead and learn how to win, read on! Continue reading

[Random Review] The County Fair

Review:

county fairI’m gonna get right into why I don’t like the fair:

It stinks.

It stinks really fucking bad.

There is shit everywhere, and not only does it smell awful, but to avoid stepping in it you have to watch literally every step you take. If that wasn’t enough, the various animals (cows, goats, pigs, etc.) who are relieving themselves all over every inch of the festivity grounds have a malodorous scent that, in and of itself, would make for an unpleasant evening. Continue reading

[The Everyview Update] 07/19/09

You know that contest I’ve been promising you guys for the past three weeks? I’ll reveal everything tomorrow, I promise. But I’ll go ahead and tell you a little bit about it now. The prize is a candy bar that is kind of hard to find now, and winning is pretty simple and anyone can enter. That’s all I’m saying now, you’ll know the rest tomorrow evening.

Also, we’ve got over 10 energy drink reviews coming in the next few weeks, so all of you caffeine addicts have something to look forward to. A big special thanks goes to Everyview reader David Hagan for pointing me in the direction of a good selection of lesser-known drinks at my local Big Lots, because I wouldn’t have gone there for energy drinks if he hadn’t suggested it.

Those are all the updates we’ve got this week. Be sure to check out these articles posted by our friend sites.

  • Korean Pizza Huts sell pizza with hotdogs in the crust. How sweet is that? (Grub Grade)
  • Why play golf on a green when you can play it on a volcano? Pangya: Fantasy Golf (PSP) gives you that and much more. (SuperPhillip Central)
  • Hungry Man’s Charbroiled Angus Burger looks like a heart attack on a bun. Which makes me want to eat six of them at once. (The Impulsive Buy)
  • It turns out EA may be planning on including a bonus character from Mass Effect 2 in Dragon Age. Sounds awesome. (The Tancave)
  • Looks like the new Harry Potter film doesn’t disappoint. Unless you read the book. (We Rate Stuff)

[Drink Review] Sunny D Smoothies: Orange Whirl

sunny d orange whirl smoothiesOverview:

I’m not gonna lie. I don’t like Sunny D. I do, however, love smoothies. Creamy, fruity, and delicious. And since these are Sunny D brand, they even hold the kick-ass power of the Sun. The freaking Sun! On top of that, Sunny D Smoothies contain 30% RDI (recommended daily intake) Calcium, and 25% Vitamin D and C.

But who cares about all that nonsense? I sure don’t. What does it taste like? Continue reading

[TV News] Fox Considering Recasting Futurama If and When it Returns

futuramaI’ve been hearing about a possible “Family Guy” style relaunching of “Futurama,” arguably the most criminally underrated television program of the past decade, pretty much everyday since the show went off the air in 2003. I was a bit skeptical to be excited about this, because while “Family Guy” has been successful since its return, it’s also, in my admitted minority opinion, become one of the most painfully unfunny shows on television. I’d hate to see “Futurama,” which was considerably funnier than “Family Guy” in the first place, go through such a substantial quality dip. Continue reading

[Food Review] Volcano Double Beef Burrito

Overview:

volcano burritoI know it has been a long time since the Volcano Taco relaunched and brought its new friend with it. I am also aware that I had promised you guys I would review both Volcano products on the same day. Here we are, over two months later, and I’m finally writing this review. Truth be told, I didn’t even plan on reviewing it.

I had actually ordered the new Bacon Cheesy Potato, but thanks to the sub-high school education of the Taco Bell staff, I got this. Looks like the review blog gods are giving me a second chance, so I might as well take it. Continue reading

[Energy Drink Review] Monster Import

monsterimportenergyOverview:

Monster Import is the newest flavor of Monster Energy. ‘Import’ isn’t just a fancy word they slap on the front of the can for connoisseurs like myself, no, the drink is actually imported straight from Amsterdam, the official home of public fornication and casual drug abuse. If you don’t want to try Import for the fact that it is a new Monster, then at least try it for that. Continue reading
