[Food] Get a Free Black Jack Taco From Taco Bell Tonight
It looks like you’re going to have to pencil in another stop on your Trick or Treating list tonight. Starting at 6 PM and lasting all the way until Midnight Taco Bell will be celebrating Halloween by handing out their Black Jack Tacos to anyone who wants one.

It’s Halloween, and that means it’s time to go to a haunted house or two, go trick or treating, and play scary video games. There are a lot of games out there that try to scare you, and a lot (if not most) of them suck. Dead Space on the other hand, is one of the few games that manages to do this all too well.
This survival horror game for the Xbox 360 was released in October of last year, and received mostly overwhelmingly positive feedback. You may have already read Zac’s review of the prequel on the Nintendo Wii. If you haven’t, check it out here. Considering that it’s been a whole year, you might be wondering “Is it it still worth playing?” You bet your sweaty buttocks it is. [Movie Review] “Whatever Works” (DVD)
On paper, teaming ace Curb Your Enthusiasm curmudgeon Larry David with legendary curmudgeon writer/director Woody Allen is ideal. Or at least maybe it would have been had Allen not stopped being a relevant filmmaker years ago. Still, my love of David made me excited to rent their collaborative effort Whatever Works when it his DVD shelves this week. But in case my snarky second sentence didn’t give my opinion away, let me leave no doubt. This movie sucks.
Plot Outline:
The movie tells the story of Boris Yelnikoff (David), a crotchety, know-it-all, former Pulitzer Prize nominated Physicist, who leaves behind an upper class lifestyle after a failed suicide attempt. The miserable Boris despises everything and everyone. Then one day, he meets a beautiful 21-year-old Southern Beauty Pageant contestant named Melodie (Evan Rachel Wood), who he begrudgingly forms a romantic bond with despite a four decade age difference and the fact, as Boris points out constantly, she operates at a much lower intellectual level than he does. [Game Review] Brutal Legend (Xbox 360)

Genre: Action/Adventure/RTS/Metal
Brutal Legend is the most recent project from comical genius Tim Schafer, the driving force behind critically acclaimed games like Psychonauts and Grim Fandango. Never heard of those games? I wish I couldn’t say this, but I’m not surprised.
For some reason Schafer’s games tend to go unnoticed by the general gaming public despite rave reviews, likely due to a severe lack of marketing push from Publishers. Chances are, though, that you’ve at least heard of Brutal Legend. This game has gotten plenty of attention from general gaming press and public as well as music-centered publications thanks to a stellar heavy metal theme and all-star voice cast. Continue reading
[Underappreciated Television Show Review] 3-South
In the fall of 2002, MTV, arguably the saddest excuse for a television network on the face of the planet, somehow managed to strike gold with an animated college comedy “3-South.” However, likely befuddled by the task of promoting a program that wasn’t a staged “reality” show about bratty rich kids or losers following other losers around in either a van or bus while they go on dates, network executives were unable to help the show reach a wide audience and it was quickly canceled. This is a real shame, because after revisiting the series online recently, I can say it most certainly deserved better. Continue reading
[Energy Drink Review] Sport Energy: Mango Cream
I was digging through my fridge in an attempt to find something to help wake me up and quench my thirst when I stumbled upon the Mango Cream flavor of Sport Energy. I didn’t even know I had this, but based on the Fruit Punch flavor I reviewed last week I figured it was my safest bet for a decent energy drink.
I opened the can and lifted the vent up to my nose to get a feel for what I was about to drink. I was met with a soft scent which consisted primarily of a soft cream aroma on accompanying a sweet, fruity mango twist. The aroma was obviously artificial, but didn’t have any disgusting chemical burn. It was also surprisingly subtle, and I even had to sniff it a few times to get a proper impression. Continue reading
Worst to Best: Saw
There are a lot of Saw movies, and I’m here to separate the worst from the best. As we all know the 6th movie released on the 23rd which means I should have a review shortly. Eventually, when the next movie is released next year, I’ll do a review of that one as well. There is also an eighth movie slated for 2011, but I probably won’t do a review on that because by then I will have been in a very tragic accident while looking at Facebook Mobile while driving.
Anyway, on to the list! Keep in mind this list only covers the first five chapters to the story, since I haven’t seen the sixth installment yet. Continue reading
