Review: Logitech G15 Gaming Keyboard

keyboard logitech G15

Overview

The Logitech G15 was originally made in 2005. It featured 12 more “G Keys,” which are the programmable hotkeys. It also had a light blue color for the backlit keys and LCD. The revised 2007 version was shipped with only 6 hotkeys, a more compact design, orange lights, and costs about $75 or so. I’ll be reviewing the 2007 version, which is in the picture. Review: Microsoft Arc Wireless Mouse

Overview:

The Microsoft Arc is a wireless 2.4 GHz optical mouse that has one extremely unique characteristic: it’s foldable. That’s right, the Arc makes an attempt at becoming one of the most portable mice on the market by introducing the ability to fold nearly in half to reduce it’s size. This means you have a full sized, full featured mouse that can be folded up and packed away as easily as one of those super uncomfortable mini mice.

Arc Sideview

Does the ability to fold serve as nothing more than a gimmicky selling point or is the Arc a truely exceptional piece of tech?

You Can’t Find Chuck Norris…

… He finds you! And as proof to back that statement up, go to Google, type in ‘find chuck norris’ and then hit the I’m Feeling Lucky button. This is just a quick little mini post, but I thought it was neat so I wanted to show it to everyone. I’m sure a lot of you already knew about it, but this is for the ones who didn’t ride every wave of the Chuck Norris joke era.

Special thanks to my little sister Kelbie for pointing that out to me :D.

The Top Five: Things I got for Xmas

This is the first addition to a new article I plan to start doing regularly called The Top Five. It’s obviously articles that are basically top 5 lists of any subject at all put together with pictures and my reasoning of why it deserves the spot it did. Since it’s right after Christmas, I figured the perfect thing to do would be writing a The Top Five on things I got from the Fat Man in Red and let all my readers write a little 5 item list of their own! So here it goes, The Top Five: Things I got for Xmas!

5. Energizer Wii Controller Charger:
For a long time I was content with my Nyko Charge Station. It worked really well and I enjoyed the rubber padding on the replacement wii chargercontroller backs. But as of recently it’s been having trouble charging my controllers, and those rubber pads I once loved make it a pain in the ass to use the Wii Zapper, which is a pain in the ass itself, or play Guitar Hero since it adds extra bulk to the Wiimote which keeps it from fitting in the Zapper or guitar controller. It’s about time to update and this is a great product to replace the old one with. It’s far more sleek and sexy, and replaces those uncomfortably bright blue l.e.d.’s from Nyko’s charger with soft green lights to indicate a fully charged batter. An overall superior product.

Money Saver: Kingston 8GB MicroSDHC with Adapter

This is just a quick note for everyone, and you can expect more of these from me in the future. I just came across an 8 GB MicroSDHC card for $15.99 with free shipping from Newegg. This is a great deal, as you can find the exact same thing from Amazon for $22 and change, and they don’t ship for free. So if you’re looking for a good card for your phone, camera, MP3 player, or whatever you have that can use a MicroSDHC or an SD (since you can use it with the adapter as a normal SD card), check it out here.

New Superhydrophobic Technology From GE

That’s right, folks. GE has been spending their time developing a new superhydrophobic surface… for those of you that don’t know, it’s a surface that repels water. The cool thing about this one, it’s actually so effective, the water can actually “bounce” off of it. They’ve captured this using some high-speed cameras.

Review: Myspace for BlackBerry

Overview:

Finally, after far too long of having to stop what I’m doing (porn) in my BlackBerry’s web browser RIM has decided to release an application to run your Myspace for you, without taking up browser privelages. The application is downloadable for free. All you have to do is go to m.myspace.com with your BlackBerry device and a special splash page comes up asking you if you want to download the software for free.

Since the application is rather new there are a few quirks, but let’s see how it preforms anyway.

Review:

Myspace for BlackBerry smartphones looks great. It provides a nice, clean interface in the traditional blue and white theme present on the desktop parent. There is a shortcut bar across the top that provides access to your homepage, inbox, friend requests, comments, current friends, and photos. The bar is easily navigated by horizontally moving the trackball, and accessed by a simple click. Continue reading

First Ever Pictures of Planets Outside our Solar System!

My theory for how scientists make new planet names, which consist of random capitol and lowercase letters with some random numbers thrown in there, is they tickle a homeless Jewish man while he tries to type with his feet. Take the first twelve or so digits and voila! Planet name!

Anyway, it’s a pretty awesome breakthrough. The fact that we are now able to photographs is, according to Bruce Macintosh, crucial in finding a new Earth, which, according to Steven Hawking, is the only way mankind will survive beyond 200 years. Awesome!

The original article is here, so do yourself a favor and go check it out.

Review: iPhone 3G

Well its long over due but here it is. The iPhone 3G review. I got it what, like more than 2 months ago?

iPhoneOverview:

As everyone knows, the iPhone 3G is probably the worlds most famous smartphone currently available. It is held on the AT&T service, designed by Apple in California. The 8GB version runs for $199 and the 16GB version runs for $299. There are many features that the iPhone supports that come as a standard for most mainstream smartphones. The phone supports multi-touch touchscreen capabilities, obvious 3G support, 2.0 Megapixel camera without video recording, GPS, web browser, wifi, Bluetooth, and email support. Oh, and you get the application store for free.
