[Exclusive] Interview with John Wozniak from Marcy Playground (part 1)

We recently were given the chance to sit down with lead singer/guitarist/songwriter John Wozniak from the band Marcy Playground. Yes, they’re still around.

In fact, while they aren’t as big as they were in the ’90s, they are still extremely active. This year alone they are touring to support their fourth studio album, preparing a fifth, readying a multi-volume collection of rarities and b-sides, putting together a live DVD, and much much more.

Join me as John shares with us everything from his inspirations to his favorite road food in our massive two part interview. Continue reading

The 5 Most Underappreciated Actors in Hollywood

Let’s face it. Some of us go to the movies to see a specific actor on screen. But for every Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt, there are lesser known actors who light up the screen just as, if not more, often. This is a list of those actors:

Colin Farrell

Yes, folks, I’m dead serious. And this isn’t because I have been a major fan of the guy since Hart’s War. Take a look at his filmography for a moment. There are a number of quality films on there, and in each of them Farrell has shined. Minority Report was his true breakout, and is one of the best films of the decade. A smaller film like Phone Booth showed his range, but it wasn’t until The New World that I really started to see Farrell as the incredibly gifted actor he is. In that film he gives such a nuanced performance it truly shows his development. His performance in In Bruges garnered him a Golden Globe, and his script selection seems to be much better than it was in the early 2000s. The sky is the limit for this talented Irishmen. [Food Review] Banquet Microwavable Meals

Overview:

For those of you who have ever laid awake at night wondering if any company could ever depict what perpetual bachelorhood tastes like, I’m here to tell you the people behind Banquet Microwavable Meals have been perfecting the recipe since 1953. As someone who’s ingested pound after endless pound of such loser delights as bologna, Chef Boyardee and hamburger buns to keep himself alive, I can say with great confidence I haven’t encountered any dining experience more successful in reminding me that I am alone in this world. [Food Review] Doritos Late Night: All Nighter Cheeseburger

The Doritos Late Night line of snacks has found massive success almost entirely by word of mouth. And how could it not? I mean, in a market saturated with purely artificially flavored chips that taste kind of like the name on the bag suggests, it’s nice to be able to snack on something that actually tastes like Tacos or Jalapeno Poppers. I still remember my first bag of Tacos at Midnight. It lasted about 3.2 minutes.

The first new flavor since the now legendary line of chips launched has finally arrived in the form of All Nighter Cheeseburger. Trust me, if you love cheeseburgers, you will love these chips. Continue reading

[The Everyview Update] Video Review Show on the Way!

Yep, you heard right! We’re going to delve into the wonderful world of internet porn video reviews with our very own little show! Everyview: The Video Review Show, as it will be titled, will be released in episodes every… well however long it takes our fat, lazy asses to finish each episode. Of course there will still be plenty of mega sweet written content for our readers to enjoy, these episodes are simply an expansion.

For the first episode we’ve got three wonderful products slated for review: the Ped Egg, Sonic’s Super Sonic Breakfast Burrito, and the e-Cigs, a more environmentally friendly and high tech way to get cancer. Of course these are all subject to change for whatever reason, and we might even add something if it comes up in time for filming.

Until next time, keep reading Everyview! Oh, and click on some of the newly placed ads along our sidebar to make sure we get to eat this week. Zac and Brandon always eat, and it shows. The rest of the crew? Maybe you should pray for them tonight. They’re looking pretty sickly.

[Food Review] Taco Bell’s Beefy 5 Layer Burrito

For most of my life I’ve had a pretty casual opinion of Taco Bell. I always found it to be a moderately enjoyable fast food eating experience, but not one that would regularly make it to the top of my dining out list. That’s changed over the last year or so though, as their expansive collection of cheap menu items have been keeping my poor, emaciated ass alive.

So as a newly appointed fan  I was somewhat eager to try out the latest addition to their $.89 value menu, the Beefy 5 Layer Burrito, and I must say it was more than tasty enough to reach my moderately high expectations. Continue reading

[Everyview Update] New Year’s Resolution

Holy Cow, it’s a brand new year and… nothing feels any different.

Dammit. By now we should’ve had pollutant-free gasoline for 6¢/gallon to fuel our flying cars. Instead we’ve got war and a broken economy. I blame republicans and rap music.

Anyway, as is the case with every New Year, we are falsely promised a new beginning and presented with the opportunity to challenge ourselves to meet a New Year’s Resolution! We’ve heard them all. “I am going to lose weight,” “I am going to try harder in school,” “I am going to find a job,” “For every penguin I shave I will plant a seed in the city,” and the list goes on.

Of course, no one ever lives up to these hallow goals. Still, that doesn’t keep us from wanting to know what you’ve promised yourself to accomplish before 2011! Feel free to let us and everyone else know what goals you will be failing to meet this year in the comments section below!

The Top Ten Video Games of the Decade (2000 – 2009)

It’s the end of the first decade of the New Millennium already. We’ve survived the Y2K bug, four years of George W. Bush, a terrorist attack on America, four more years of George W. Bush, Global Warming, the passing of icons such as Michael Jackson and Billy Mays, and what do we have to show for it?

Games. We’ve seen countless titles released for several systems. We’ve witnessed a generation’s death which birthed a fresh generation that then perished to make room for yet another generation. And we’ve played through all of this until our thumbs began to bleed. But what were the highlights of this decade? What were the best games from 2000 – 20009?

That’s something that we’ll never be able to agree on. In this post we have listed the Top Ten Video Games of the past decade as it pertains to six different members of the Everyview staff. You’ll love some picks and hate some others, so feel free to compliment us or call us idiots in the comments section. Also, feel free to leave your picks for the top ten games this decade.
