[Tech Review] Gunnar Optiks Glasses: Attaché Phenom

Wow, it’s been a while since I’ve written a review here. I’ve been meaning to post this for a few weeks now, just been busy and stressed. But now I’m coming back, and I’m gonna kick things off with the Gunnar Optiks glasses (Attaché Phenom style).  These yellow-tinted glasses are specifically designed for sitting in front of a computer screen. They claim to reduce eye strain and fatigue. They’re also supposed to give you sharper vision.  Do these glasses do anything they claim to? Read on to find out.

[Tech Review] Schwinn 12-Function Bicycle Speedometer

I’m sure most of you are wondering why I thought it would be necessary to own a speedometer for my bicycle, so I’ll go ahead and explain myself. I’ll start by telling you that no, it isn’t because I didn’t want to accidentally surpass the speed limit, though my muscular and tone legs are probably more than capable of pulling that off.

I was riding down a hill on the side of one of my town’s busier streets and decided to cut through the grass and hop off  a curb and into the road. Apparently there was a ditch in said grass that I was unable to see, because the grass was evenly cut so the turf looked smooth. I hit the ditch and was thrown over the handlebars a good ten feet onto the asphalt, landing on an awkward combination of my head, neck, shoulder, and knee. Continue reading

[Movie Review] 500 Days of Summer (Theatrical)

Overview:

The romantic comedy genre is tough because audiences tend to have such preconceived notions pertaining to the endings of these films. The couple is supposed to get together and live happily ever after. It is in this way that these movies tend to fail. The problems are quickly solved, people are made to be the quickest forgivers in the world, and everything ends up neatly tied up with a bow on top.

Not in 500 Days of Summer.

[Food Review] Kellogg’s Keebler Cookie Crunch Cereal

keeblercookiecrunchOverview:

Elves are like midgets. Happy, giddy little midgets that prance around in pointy clogs giving away the most awesome of things. Presents, cookies, kicks in the shin, nothing is better than a miniature person that gives you free things. And they obviously make great slaves, too, as the fully-grown people over at Kellogg’s marched their long legs over to the Keebler HQ and used their intimidating height to bully the dwarfed little elves into making a cookie-themed cereal to be marketed to obese American children all across the country.

And I’m sure the fat little bastards are eating this crap up.

[The Everyview Update] 9/20/09

Hey there everyone! Not really anything to talk about in terms of updates at the moment. Our Spot On Contest ends tomorrow, so if you haven’t entered the go ahead and do it now. It’s not turning out as hot as anticipated despite the lure of free stuff.

I will tell you that Andrew and I are going to work on bringing lots of video game reviews to the plate, and Casual Clay will continue to be casual. I’ve also got plans to start reviewing bicycle accessories if anyone’s interested in that sort of thing. Anyway, on to the Weekly Awards!

[New Contributor] Casual Clay Cunningham

I should start by clarifying I am not an entirely new member of Team Everyview, as I still share the birth name, body, irritable bowels and discolored teeth with the Clay Cunningham who’s been writing here for nearly a year.

The change is more about my approach. The other day, Everyview’s CEO (Casual Executive Officer) Zac Pritcher told me I made my reviews “too much of an event” and if I were more casual with my writing I would “experience a treasure chest of earthly delights so vast and wondrous, the lord Jesus Christ himself couldn’t improve upon them. ” These words inspired me in such a way I am proud to announce they gave me a full-blown personality transformation.
