smilecaseOverview:

Smile Case is primarily a one-man band from Canada. Ben Andress, the singer/guitarist/songwriter, owns his own record label called Blacktop Records and records lots of smaller Canadian bands. “Lose Our Heads” is his first studio album that he produced himself with the help of a few friends.

Let’s check this moose out, eh? Continue reading

[Food Review] Hardee’s Fried Bologna Biscuit

bologna biscuitOverview:

A few days ago our good friends over at GrubGrade told the hungry world about the new Fried Bologna Biscuit from Hardee’s. Needless to say, eaters who were expecting a new sandwich similar to the Big Carl from Carl’s Jr, Hardee’s sister establishment, were quite disappointed. Average Southerners or poor Northerners (yo), however, will find instant appeal in the new breakfast biscuit.

Will Hardee’s newest morning menu item turn bologna into the new ham? There’s only one way to find out. It’s review time! Continue reading

[Food & Drink Review] MolliCoolz! Shakers: Vanilla, Strawberry, Chocolate, and Cookies & Cream

Overview:

mollicoolzWho doesn’t love a good milkshake? Unfortunately for everyone, however, there are several things usually required to get your hands on a delicious, creamy shake. Moving, for instance, is one that many Americans frown upon. No one wants to get in the car and drive to Dairy Queen or walk back and forth from the freezer to their blender to create a homemade milkshake, no sir, not in 2009. The future is now.

That’s where MolliCoolz! Shakers come into play. A little plastic cup containing some kind of brilliant technology that allows users to create delicious milkshakes by adding milk and shaking. Yes there still is a little effort involved, but at least it only takes 30 seconds of sweating and heavy breathing to create a delightful treat. Drink up, all that shaking is exhausting! [Video Game Review] Asphalt 4: Elite Racing (DSiWare)

asphalt 4Overview:

System: Nintendo DSi (Also on iPhone)
Developer: Gameloft
Publisher: Gameloft
Genre: Racing

There are very few good realistic DS racers out there, and there are even less enjoyable titles available for download on Nintendo’s DSiWare service, so what are the odds that a great racing game would come along and be available exclusively via download? Not very good. Stepping up to the plate to take on this seemingly impossible task is Gameloft and a dual screen rendition of their Asphalt 4, originally released on the iPhone.

Can this downloadable racing title really stack up against full-retail game card releases, or is this yet another forgettable title in the DSiWare’s lineup of shovelware? Continue reading

[Energy Drink Review] Turn Left

turnleftOverview:

Energy drinks are supposed to make you move fast. Cars move fast. Especially race cars. Race cars usually only turn left. Get it? That is where this drink got it’s name. But if you think that’s stupid, then you should hear the drink’s slogan: “Turn Left Twice and Turn Your Day Around.” Continue reading

[Book Review] Planet Simpson by Chris Turner

Overview:

planet simpsonA few weeks ago I decided to quit writing for this site for the simple reason that nobody reads my reviews. After awhile, the idea of continuing to add to the vapid wasteland that is my Everyview archive just seemed exhaustive and pointless.

Well, to combat my resignation, my fearless leader (and high school sophomore) of a site administrator, bribed me with a book entitled Planet Simpson: How A Cartoon Masterpiece Defined A Generation, chronicling the social impact The Simpsons, my favorite TV show, has had on the world. It’s moments like this that define character, and what is now clear about me is this: buy me a book you find used for $5 at Big Lots, and I will essentially do whatever the fuck you ask of me, including writing a review for a five-year-old book that holds no relevance (the review, not the book) anymore. But as I already alluded to, who’s gonna read it?

Well, I guess I can now declare my brief (and unnoticed) hiatus over, as I feel compelled to share my feelings of this fascinating read. So in the words of former President Ike Eisenhower: “Let’s get biz-zay!” Continue reading

[Concert Review] TOOL: Live at Lollapalooza ’09

toolOverview:

I am now a man.

Review:

Each of us has music that takes us back to certain points in our lives, and that’s a unique trait of music. You remember hearing things at certain moments you deem to be important, and you make a mental note of those things, and those songs always hold a special place in your heart. Some of us even have these relationships with entire albums, certain bands. One of these bands, for me, is Tool. Continue reading

[Video Game Review] NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits (WiiWare)

nyxquestOverview:

System: Wii
Developer: Over the Top Games
Publisher: Over the Top Games
Genre: Platformer

NyxQuest started life out as Icarian, and since the first few screenshots and tidbits of information were revealed Wii gamers have been keeping an eye on this unique platformer. It was originally rumored to be heavily influenced by the classic NES game Kid Icarus by IGN, but now that they game is finally here it’s plain to see they were very wrong. Just as they always are about anything Kid Icarus related.

Anyway, NyxQuest: Kindred spirits is finally here. Is it worth your hard earned Wii points, or is it just another piece of dumpsterware being shovelled onto the system? Continue reading

[Energy Drink Review] Stacker 2 YJ Stinger: Enraged Raspberry

Overview:

stacker2yjstingerenragedraspberryThis has been sitting in my fridge for about three weeks now, and I’m still pretty reluctant to try it. I bought this at the same time as Sinful Citrus, and have been terrified to open the can ever since. But I’ve now got about 20 energy drinks sitting on my floor just waiting to be reviewed, so I figured I would go ahead and get this one out of the way. Continue reading

[Energy Drink Review] G Pure Energy: Lulo Lime (Zero Calories)

gpurelulolimeOverview:

Some of the greatest things you’ll ever do in your life are natural. Nudity is the first thing that comes to my mind, but some people think that having a natural and healthy diet and lifestyle can be the most rewarding thing out there. They’ve obviously never ran through the public park naked.

So for those of you who are afraid to tear off your boxers and show off what your momma (or God, depending on your religious views) gave you, there are drinks like G Pure Energy, a zero calorie energy drink that is formulated to give you a kick in the pants (unless you don’t wear pants, like myself) without the diabetes.

Can G Pure Energy: Lulo Lime really feel more natural than nudity? No, but at least it won’t get you arrested. Continue reading
