I know I say this quite often, but I’m a fan of pro wrestling. I get excited about it multiple times a week, and as a 24 year old, I’ve been suggested to seek personal help about it. I enjoy the athleticism of the sport, but also the acting portion as well, as I’ve coined “Athletic Acting,” something you obviously have to be skilled and talented at to do well. Continue reading

[Movie Review] Sin Nombre (DVD)
Overview:
Sin Nombre (which Wikipedia tells us is Spanish for “without name”) tells the story of Willy (aka Casper, played by Edgar Flores), a teenage member of a ruthless Mexican gang. Quickly after he helps initiate a pre-teen named Smiley into his inner-circle, a personal secret Casper has been hiding is exposed, and he is abruptly betrayed by gang leader Lil’ Mago.
Shortly after, Mago, Casper and Smiley attempt to rob a train containing migrants attempting to immigrate to America. Still stinging from the betrayal, Casper takes revenge on Mago and sends Smiley away while he stays behind on the train in hopes of escaping. While hiding out from his revenge-seeking gang members, he befriends a girl named Sayra (Paulina Gaitán) who is attempting to escape to America with her family.
[Movie Review] Inglorious Basterds (Theatrical)
This film is fantastic. I’ve read a few reviews out there that call “Inglorious Basterds” a “mixed bag,” but the people who wrote those reviews are obviously idiots. This is easily one of Tarantino’s greatest works, possibly even surpassing “Pulp Fiction.” Of course this film isn’t for the stuck up snobs out there who aren’t Tarantino fans, but for everyone else, this film is for you. [Movie Review] Sugar (DVD)
Overview:
I’ve desperately been seeking out ways to become more popular with the Everyview public, and after struggling to find success on my own, I sought out the help of my good friend Zac Pritcher for advice. Seeing as how he frequently calls me, usually in the middle of the night, to remind me how he towers over me in readership by a count of 782-to-1, I thought he’d have some good advice.
Well after giving me about a 15 minute lecture about interrupting his study habits (he’s cramming very hard as next week he finally becomes old enough to earn that ever elusive driver’s permit) his advice was for me to “continue doing what I do best,” which I guess is reviewing movies and TV shows no one is familiar with.
Call me a skeptic if you must, but I have my doubts on this one, and am curious if there was perhaps some underlining smarminess I didn’t pick up on. But either way I have no other ideas, so here it is my review of the indie baseball drama Sugar which found its way onto DVD shelves this week. Continue reading
[Movie News] Inception Trailer
Not sure how long this has been up, but I just came upon the trailer for Inception, the newest movie from Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan. The movie, staring Leonardo DiCaprio, is scheduled for release on July 16 of next year. The trailer is kind of vague, but being a huge fan of Nolan, who also directed great films like Memento and The Prestige, I eagerly await this new mind trip.

[Movie News] Brave New World: In Theaters?
Well, I suppose you could say I’m shooting for a particular theme lately, that being popular books being adapted to screen. I first gave you loyal Everyviewers the trailer for Tucker Max’s “I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell” that is slated for release this September.
I just stumbled upon another book-to-screen adaptation that actually tickles my fancy quite a bit as well, and that is the news of a potential Big Screen Adaptation of Brave New World, the 1932 classic novel by Alduous Huxley.
The project has apparently been on Director/Producer Ridley Scott’s radar for the better part of 2 decades, and it’s strongly rumored that if a script were up to his lofty standards, we could actually see Leonardo DiCaprio himself star in this movie.
Here’s a little bit more information about the potential film:

I hate to admit this, but I am pretty chubbed up just thinking about this. If done right, this could be an EPIC film to go along with a WONDERFUL book.
Now, if I could only get J.D. Salinger to give me the rights to write, direct, and star in The Catcher in the Rye…
[Movie News] “I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell” Trailer
I’m sure many of my devoted followers will recall a book review I did way back when, called “I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell” by Tucker Max. And if you don’t remember that, allow me to present you with this once in a lifetime gift, in the form of a link to that (fantastic) review.
Now, as it turns out, our friends in Hollywood decided that this particular book would make for a worthwhile film! I know that books being converted to film is a rare happening, so I feel we should all support these legions of book and screen at ALL times. Yes, that was coated in sarcasm.
Anyway, here’s the trailer:

[DVD Review] Flight of the Conchords: The Complete Second Season
Overview:
“Flight of the Conchords,” an HBO musical comedy series about a folk parody duo from New Zealand who moves to New York to make it big in America, set the bar pretty high with it’s first season. The show was fresh and insanely funny, proving to be on of the best comedies currently on American television. But as I stated in a previous review (the first review I ever wrote for the site!), the season started with a disappointingly flat first episode.
Well, for my six or so regular readers (for fun I decided to multiply the real total by three) who have been dying to know whether or not the second season picked up steam, your torturous wait is finally over, as “The Complete Second Season” of the series hit DVD shelves this week. Here we go! Continue reading
[Movie Review] Funny People (Theatrical)
Overview:
There are certain people out there who can’t seem to separate a good, but ultimately disappointing film from a non-quality film. I read other reviews about this film, and because of the talent involved I think people’s expectations were sky high, and rightfully so. Director Judd Apatow has shown an ability to be more hit than miss, Seth Rogen has really evolved into a breakout comedy star, and the film boasts one of the sure Box-Office powerhouses in Adam Sandler. So, with all this going in, how is the actual film? Continue reading
[Movie News] Tim Burton’s “Alice In Wonderland” Trailer
This is the latest trailer for the highly anticipated Alice in Wonderland film from the creative mind of Tim Burton, which premiered at Comic-Con.
