Unbound Energy + Juice Review on Caffeine Critic!

Unbound’s logo reminds me of Unreal Tournament, a sweet video game that I really dig. It was because of this similarity that I decided I would probably also like Unbound Energy drink. I know, it seems silly, but when you’ve had as many rancid energy drinks as I have, it’s important to carefully choose your drinks to try to avoid drinking something akin to a cold can of moose piss. Here’s hoping.

Mild Cocaine Review on Caffeine Critic

I have stated before that the original, uncut Cocaine Energy Drink easily ranks as my second favorite energy drink of all time, ranking just below Monster, for several reasons. Not only does it provide a substantial kick that few drinks can rival, but it also has one of the most unique and memorable flavors I’ve ever experienced from any energy drink.

Cocaine Mild is essentially the exact same thing as the original Hot & Spicy flavor, sans the hot and spicy attributes that give your throat that trademark burning sensation. While that unexpected amount of heat is a turn off to some, I find it one of my favorite things about the drink. Without that comforting warmth tearing away at the tissue of my throat, does Mild Cocaine still impress me as much as its parent drink?

Introducing a New Site From Everyview!

That’s right, boys and girls, Everyview.com has been unknowingly pregnant for 8 months (the baby’s a bit premature, and it’s got a gnarled hand and an exposed spine) and the fruits of our awesome genitals have just spat out a sweet new website!

CaffeineCritic.com is going to be the new home of all of the energy drink and caffeine-related posts that would normally go up on this site, but now they get to run free in a vast meadow, chasing chickens and whatever else cramped reviews do when they get more room to play. There will still be links to those reviews posted here, though, so you guys can know whenever a new review goes up.

[Energy Drink Review] RockStar Recovery

Straight from the Can:

ROCKSTAR RECOVERY is designed for those who need a strong energy boost when it counts – plus maximum recovery and hydration. B-vitamins, caffeine, electrolytes, and ROCKSTAR’s potent herbal blend are formulated to deliver that extra kick. Fully refreshing lemonade flavor made with real lemon juice, RECOVERY is smooth, powerful and easy to drink.

I generally don’t enjoy RockStar products. They are usually salty, sour, bitter messes that perform well below the standard set forth by energy drinks such as Monster. Still, when I saw Recovery’s brilliant yellow can with a flat black top and red tab, I knew I had to spend my hard-earned money on the drink so I could waste my valuable time writing a review for you guys to ignore. It’s totally worth it in the end.

[Energy Drink Review] Vuka: Workout (Berry Lemonade)

Workout is the last flavor of the Vuka family of functional energy drinks. All of the other flavors — Awaken, Think and Renew — have been granted scores of 8.0, 8.1, and 9.0, respectively, here on Everyview. Workout was the one I wanted to hold off on until I got a gym membership so that I could effectively test it out.

Well, I got that membership and I finally put Vuka’s Workout formula to the test. I walked in to my gym, Nintendo themed messenger bag thrown over my shoulder, a pair of Reebok Reezigs on my feet, a can of Vuka: Workout in my hands, and a burning desire to get swole (whatever the hell that means). [Drink Review] Anti-Hangover: Resurrection

What greater American past time is there than consuming large quantities of alcohol in a short time frame? It’s why college was invented, after all. For almost 4 years now (save the old man jokes) I have been able to legally consume these adult beverages to my heart’s/liver’s content, and at the same time shave years off my life expectancy. But, there is one pesky little problem when it comes to drinking. That damn next day hangover. They even made an extremely popular movie about it! I think it was called The Last Mimzy.

Well, the folks over at Anti-Hangover decided they were tired of waking up with ridiculous cotton mouth and a pounding headache, and they set out to solve the world’s hangover problems, and they released this drink called Resurrection. Continue reading

[Energy Drink Review] Monster DUB Edition

Monster DUB Edition is essentially a special edition of Monster Energy Drink made in collaboration with DUB magazine (if you don’t know what that is, you’re likely white or Chinese), an automotive publication that takes pride in providing content composed of pimped out “rides.” I could add a few more “fresh” vernaculars, but my grasp of the various methods of “phat” slang is severely limited. Hopefully this drink will fix that.

Straight from the can:

The Monster Energy DUB Edition is more than just another energy drink. It’s high performance fuel for the true baller. Made by the crew at Monster Energy, DUB Edition is optimized for the mobilized. A customized formula in collaboration with the kings of customization.

I’m not necessarily sure what a “true baller” is, but I know it’s something good. From now on, this is the only thing I’m ever going to drink. It’s time to “get retarded.” “Bitches.” Continue reading

[Energy Drink Review] Rockstar Punched (Tropical Punch)

I’m not a huge fan of Rockstar at all. In fact, alongside Amp and Red Bull, Rockstar is one of my least favorite energy drink companies. Their inability to make consistently pleasing products with even a trace of quality really makes it hard for me to want to give the company my hard earned cash.

Alas, I found myself standing in line at my college eatery the other day, craving fruit punch, and I notice they have started to stock Rockstar Punched. I decided to give the drink a chance. Continue reading

[Energy Drink Review] Rockstar Energy Cola

So, on a pit stop to my local gas station I got the bright idea to splurge on some energy drinks. I looked at the cold case of Monster, Red Bull, NOS — all the usuals. But I was struck by two new cans in the mix. The folks at Rockstar Energy have launched two new energy drinks in Cola and Lemonade form. Having never had Red Bull’s soda, I thought to give this and its yellow friend a try (plus they had a coupon for fifty cents off so what the hey!). I grabbed my new drinks and drove home to eat, drink, and play Bad Company 2. Continue reading
