Cocaine creator Jamey Kirby pointed these Brawndo ads out to me, and they’re hilarious. Obviously very Powerthirst inspired. The one above is my favorite, but there’s several.

Sunburst Summer Live @ The THMV
A little over a week ago I was invited out to the Terre Haute Music Venue to watch a local band called Sunburst Summer, who I’ve actually seen once before when they played with Brave Souls and was pleasantly surprised. This was their second show, and again they’ve surprised me on multiple fronts. The band is fronted by David Clark pulling lead vocals, backed by guitarists and backup vocalists Aaron Norris and Jordan Daley, Caleb Mustin on bass, and Marc Pemberton on the skins.

’08 Holiday Buyer’s Guide: Wii
While Nintendo has left us with some pretty slim pickins this holiday season, there’s still a plethora of games that you probably haven’t heard of that are well worth your hard earned cash. And since the economy isn’t exactly the greatest, I’ve kept this guide to essentials only. Listed below are 5 disc-based games and 3 WiiWare games you should definitely make sure are under your tree this year.
Games:
de Blob
One of my personal favorite Wii games, de Blob is an ultra-stylized action platformer in which players fight against an evil corporation known as INKT. The INKT are attempting to drain the world of it’s beauty, and it’s up to you to join the color revolution and return beauty to a world under assault. The controls, music and visuals are all stellar, and this is the kind of game that deserves your hard earned cash.

5,000 Hits and Going Strong
Wow. 5,000 hits already. I honestly didn’t expect this to happen until sometime in early 2009, but here we are. The site has been running for only about 3 months and we’ve managed to build a decent reputation with some companies who’s products we’ve reviewed, earn some loyal readers, and most importantly, write about what we love to write about.
I started this blog to review products that I cared about. Energy drinks, video games, and food, for example, were some of the main things I wanted to let people know about. I started it as a passing hobby, but it has since grown into an integral part of my daily rituals. It’s been over a month with no posts, and I’m constantly checking statistics and referrals.
So I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who visits the site on a daily basis, to everyone who takes the 6 seconds required to leave a comment, special thanks to my good friend Zack Deal for giving me the idea to start this blog, and a BIG thanks to anyone who has ever referred anyone to this site. And as always, keep reading Everyview!
Review: Brawndo The Thirst Mutilator
Overview:
Ever heard of Brawndo? Well if you haven’t seen the cult classic film Idiocracy then probably not. Brawndo The Thirst Mutilator is basically a novelty energy drink, but one that excels far ahead of all other joke drinks and competes with big names like Monster and Bawls on all fronts, and actually wins in most.
Straight from the can:
BRAWNDO’S GOT WHAT PLANTS CRAVE! Brawndo’s got electrolytes. And that’s what plants crave. They crave electrolytes. Which plants crave. they crave electrolytes. Which is what Brawndo has. And that’s why plants crave Brawndo. Not water, like from the toilet.
Don’t try to make sense of it, because you can’t. Just take note of the fact that Brawndo has electrolytes and does not come out of the toilet, I guess.
Lots of Energy Drink Reviews are Coming!
Later today, tomorrow, and Saturday I think it’s only fair to warn you that you will be bombarded with awesome energy drink reviews which might be so awesome that your kidneys fail. You may be asking yourself something like “Why is he giving me so many awesome energy drink reviews? Does he love me?” The answer is yes. I love you very much. And also so that I can do a Holiday Buyer’s Guide for Energy Drink Lovers, and I’m pushing to get all Buyer’s Guides up before the tenth.
We’ve already done PC, DS, and Movie Lover guides, and still have several left to post! We should’ve started sooner, but we didn’t. Next year, though, expect awesome buyer’s guides by the first on December. Don’t hold me to that.
Click ‘Read More’ to see some of the Energy Drink Reviews that will be posted very, very soon.
’08 Holiday Buyer’s Guide: For the Movie Lover
Who doesn’t love movies? Anyone can sit down and enjoy a flick with his/her sweetheart or a group of pals, a bag of chips, and a 2-liter of Mountain Dew and have a great time. These are some of the best flicks to pick up for the movie buff in your family.
Movies
- The Dark Knight
The Dark Knight was probably the biggest theatrical release of 2008, and for good reasons. First off, it was the first good Batman film in a long time. In fact, it is considered by many to be not only the greatest superhero movie ever, but also the best overall film of all time. Second, anyone who considered themselves a fan of Heath Ledger made it a goal to go see his final project. While some were skeptical of having a gay cowboy play someone as sinister as the Joker, he proved to be far more than perfect for the part. Definitely a no-brainer.

Dec. ’08 Indie Band of the Month: The Marys
The first band to win Everyview’s Indie Band of the Month Award is The Marys, an awesome indie band stationed in Atalanta, Georgia.
First debuting in the Spring of 2004, The Marys is a 4-piece indie rock band heavily influenced by old time rock and roll. Consisting of members Bernard and Brian Balatbat, Mike Baldemor, and Rob Belom, The Marys have evolved a sound that resembles sort of a mix between Jet, AC/DC, and The Kinks with heavy influence from The Strokes, Velvet Revolver and of course, The Beatles. ’08 Holiday Buyer’s Guide: Nintendo DS
These games are great for the Nintendo DS owner looking for a little something to spice up the wait for the American launch of the DSi, which sadly won’t be until sometime 2009. Most likely mid-year or later! Anyway, here are some awesome games, listed in no particular order, to add to your email for St. Nick, or get for a loved one.
- Little Red Riding Hood’s Zombie BBQ
Yeah, that’s really the name of this game. And while reviews mostly tag the game as mediocre, there’s no arguing that this is the single greatest concept in the history of the entire Earth. Developer EnjoyUP took some of the most popular fairy tale characters around and transformed them into totally awesome zombies that want some brains to munch on. It’s up to you, Little Red Riding Hood herself, to put a bullet in these bastards’ heads one reanimated corpse after another. Awesome? Yes.
