I’m sure a lot of my more avid Everyview readers (both of you) have noticed that I have reviewed a couple of live shows since I came to the site (Wilco and Explosions in the Sky).
Well get ready for more.
I’m going to be attending Lollapalooza’s Saturday festivities in Chicago on August 8th, and I plan on doing a MAJOR write up on the festival experience as a whole, while also breaking down the individual artists sets. There is one band I will be seeing no matter what (TOOL), but seeing how this is a festival, and choices must be made, I’d like to ask you guys to help me out with some tough decisions.
Arctic Monkeys or Coheed and Cambria?
TV on the Radio or Rise Against?
Ben Harper and the Relentless 7 or Animal Collective?
As well, if there is anyone else on that lineup you would like to see a review of, let me know. I’ll do my best to oblige, unless of course you have horrible taste, I change my mind at the last minute, or I end up a bit too intoxicated to freely roam the streets of Chicago.
You MUST check out Of Montreal!
I would love to see them, but they play Friday, and I am unfortunately only going on Saturday. They were totally on my radar though, had I been able to go for the entire 3-day experience.
Tool is always interesting, Cage The Elephant, Dan Auerbach.
TV on the Radio for sure. Also, if a mass suicide breaks out during Coheed and Cambria’s set, make sure to report on it so maybe it will finally get them to stop making music once and for all.
Arctic monkeys. Not a band we get to see in the USA very often.
@ edjunkie
I am slowly but surely becoming a HUGE Arctic Monkeys fan, and since they rarely cross the pond, I doubt I pass up the chance to see them live.
@ Clay
TVotR is edging out Rise Against at the moment, and I don’t get your disdain for C & C, but I probably won’t see them because I already have seen them before, and (Read above).
Since I am joining you on this adventure I think I should have some input:
Artic Monkeys, since we can see Coheed anytime
TV on the Radio, because they are #1 to my heart
Ben Harper and the Relentless 7, because I said so.
<3!
You know, you could always use you feminine qualities to convince me even more 🙂
