Deton8 is really the most generic energy drink I’ve ever had. It’s a Kroger brand, which isn’t surprising since the grocery store chain has it’s own brand for almost every product it carries. Most Kroger brand products are just as good as what they sit next to on the shelf, but this is an exception.
Everything about it is average and generic in every way. But it is possible for something to do the generic thing well and still have an impressive product. Deton8 doesn’t do that and is nothing more than generic.
So for a generic drink I present a generic review. Enjoy!
Review:
Deton8 smells like Sprees and sugar. That’s about all there is to say about it, really.
Deton8 tastes salty and sweet and dries out your mouth due to all the artificial flavoring and salt. That sums that up.
Deton8 has around an average kick. Unfortunately it’s an uncomfortable and jittery kick that doesn’t really satisfy. That’s good enough for a kick description.
Deton8 sells at $1.25 instead of 2 bucks, so you save 75 cents per 16 oz, 2-serving container. Ok.
Final Words:
Deton8 is generic, plain and simple. But if you’re in a bind and are low on cash then it’s a perfectly acceptable drink. But it’s like a moped. Fun to ride unless you’re a fat chick. Or… however that saying about the fat chick and the moped goes. I don’t really know.
Pros
- It’s an energy drink
Cons
- Very generic
