Looking to find some good deals for the PC, but get lost in the clusterfuck we call the internet? Well, I’m here to help. I’ll cover a few different categories: Accessories, Hardware, and Games.
First up are the…
Accessories
4 In 1 Mousepad
The 4 in 1 Mousepad is a nice little gem I found that comes from Japan. It features an ordinary mousepad with wrist pad and also comes with a number pad that is especially useful for people who use a laptop in place of a desktop. Another thing packed into it is a USB Hub. Very useful for computers with few USB ports. Also great for those who have USB ports on their computer that are hard to get to, so it makes plugging in MP3 Players, or other USB Devices a breeze.
- Price: $39.99
- Manufacturer: Japan (Don’t know the actual company)
Ultra Stackable All-In-One Card Reader & 6-Port USB 2.0 Hub
As you can guess by now, I’m a fan of combing multiple things into one awesome thing of awesomeness.
“The device supports most existing card reader formats in the market, including Secure Digital (SD), Smart Media, Memory Stick (MS) Duo MagicGate, SD HC, Smart Media C, MS Duo Pro, Compact Flash I/II, MS Duo Pro MagicGate, MS MagicGate, MS ROM, Micro Drive, MS Select Function, Magic Store, MultiMediaCard (MMC), MS Pro, TransFlash, RS MMC, MS Pro Ultra II, xD, MMC 4.0, MS Pro MagicGate, xD Type H and Type M and RS MMC 4.0, MS”
This device is a very good tool for anyone using multiple types of removable memory. Many computers today come with a built in Media Reader, but for people like me who bought a computer that didn’t come with one, we’ll find this to be very sleek. Its design is great for stacking together or just having one by itself. It’s built to be laid down, or stand up on the side. Along with all the USB 2.0 Ports, it also features a USB Type B Port for anyone needing it.
- Price: $39.98
- Manufacturer: Ultra Components and Technologies
Belkin Anti-Static Wristband with Adjustable Grounding
An Anti-Static Wristband is a must have for anyone planning to work on the inside of a computer. If you don’t have something similar to this, you run the risk of completely wrecking a piece of hardware due to static electricity. The Anti-Static Wristband prevents that by keeping you grounded. It’s not as stylish as other similar products, but it does the job, and does it well. I’m not saying that without it you’ll fry something as soon as you stick your hand inside of a computer, and you may go your whole life without frying a single thing. But why take the risk when you can avoid it for such a low price?
- Price: $10.84
- Manufacturer: Belkin
Belkin 10-Piece Computer Tool Set
I don’t know about everyone else, but I constantly find myself searching for the correct tools for my computers. The Belkin Tool Set helps anyone similar to me. It comes with the following:
- Philips Screwdriver (No. 0 and No. 1)
- Nut Drivers (1/4- and 3/16-inch)
- Flat Screwdrivers (1/8- and 3/16-inch)
- Insulated chip (IC) insertion/extraction clipper
- T15 torx screwdriver
- 3-pronged parts retriever
- Tweezers
All of the above comes in a nice little leather zipper case. You may be saying to yourself “But I already have everything I need!” Well, possibly not. A lot of tools don’t come demagnetized. These do, which makes the perfect for a computer connoisseur.
- Price: $12.99
- Manufacturer: Belkin
Now time for…
Hardware
I’m not gonna be putting up a ton of information in this section, or the following sections. Just a brief overview along with price, manufacturer, and a link to more info.
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 Processor
For as long as I can remember, Intel has always been the leader in processors, and they still are. This processor isn’t the absolute best on the market, but with this one, you’re getting the most bang for your buck. In my opinion, anyway. Today, you’d be hard pressed to find a single core processor still being used in any gaming PC. Most have atleast a dual core. Needless to say, the more cores a processor has, the more efficient it’s going to be. You can buy the processor alone from elsewhere cheaper, if you have a compatible cooling device. But buying it from the link provided will get you a heatsink and fan included in the box, along with a 3 year warranty.
- Price: $274.99
- Manufacturer: Intel
EVGA GeForce GTX 260 Video Card
This is a very big video card, I’m not going to lie. And I don’t mean it’s popular (it is, but that’s beside the point), if you have a small case, I’d probably not suggest picking this up. But if you have an average sized case and want a cheap video card capable of running anything out there, this is it. This card has 896 MB of onboard DDR3 Memory and is core clocked at 576 MHz. You can overclock this card, though it doesn’t really need it. Also, as an added bonus if you buy from Newegg, you get Far Cry 2 in the package. Sweet!
- Price: $219.99
- Manufacturer: EVGA
OCZ Platinum Revision-2 2048 MB DDR2 800 MHz Dual Channel RAM (2×1024)
As you can probably tell by now, I’m giving you the basic parts to build a decent gaming rig. Cool, right? Well, my coolness hasn’t ended yet. This RAM was designed with gamers in mind. Not to say that the average person couldn’t use it, but it pumps out lower latencies than standard 800 MHz DDR2 Memory. OCZ is a pretty cool company too. They offer a lifetime warranty with their products, and toll-free Tech Support. The only problem with this deal is the rebate. I personally can’t stand rebates.
- Price: $19.99 (After $20 Rebate)
- Manufacturer: OCZ
Games
Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning
I’m not gonna ramble on too much about the games as I’m sure you’re all eagerly waiting to play them, so I’ll just give some basic info and the deal! Warhammer is an MMO that features two factions, Order and Destruction. Each faction has 4 races and several different classes (I think somewhere around 26 [28 if you count the two upcoming classes] classes available). It’s also made by the same people who made Dark Age of Camelot and Ultima Online, both of which were pretty big hits.
Anyway, Amazon is now offering Warhammer Online for almost half price of the normal. Pretty damned awesome. Wish I had waited a week to get mine now.
- Price: $25.96 (Plus $14.99/mo subscription after first month) [Free Shipping!]
- Produced by: Mythic Entertainment
Far Cry 2
Not really gonna bother going into much detail with this, I think Patricker did a good job reviewing this game here. If you want to know more about the game rather than the cheap deal, you can read his review.
Anyway, Far Cry 2 is an open world first person shooter set in Africa. Cool, right?
- Price: $17.95 [Free Shipping!]
- Produced by: Ubisoft
For whatever reason, the other deals I had lined up have been taken down or been reverted back to a higher price. Damned American economy! Regardless, this should be a good start for any holiday shopper. Happy Holidays, everyone!

That mousepad looks huge but kinda cool.
Killer guide man. props.
@Kyle
The mousepad actually isn’t as big as it looks. I believe it’s a Japanese female in the picture, so it’s a small hand.
@ Seth
Thanks. =)
Also, I made a mistake in the Warhammer part. It’s 3 races per faction, and 22 classes total.
Now this helps me. Definitely grabbing farcry 2 and that baller ass mousepad.
Nice guide. For PC I’m getting myself some nice office accessories to make my job a little more enjoyable. That mousepad looks sweet, but thatll prolly be as far as I go with things from this list. I’m also getting one of those shiny ball clicker things. You know what I mean.
